About:
Science of Art Restoration provides professional, cosmetic restoration for most ceramic bodies including porcelain, china, stoneware, terracotta and other types of both low and high-fire pottery. Even severely damaged objects can be made whole again. Missing pieces are recreated to match the original form and color, texture and finish are expertly matched.
Objects are restored through a "cold" restoration process, meaning that while the repairs are made to look nearly identical to the original ceramic, most repairs are reversible and objects are not re-fired. This is standard practice and is the best option for the conservation and integrity of the piece to be restored.
